Music Tastes Good Announces 2018 Festival Lineup

Music Tastes Good returns to Southern California for its third year of celebrating music, food and art!

Music Tastes Good, a two-day music, food, and arts festival presented by 89.9 KCRW returns to Marina Green Park, along the picturesque Downtown Long Beach shoreline, on September 29 and 30th, with iconic British New Wave legends New Order and Grammy-nominated and Mercury Prize-winning English singer-songwriter James Blake headlining.

This year, an expanded and more inclusive Taste Tent with the theme “Port Cities of the West Coast” will offer all attendees (not just VIPs) a chance to immerse their taste buds in culinary samplings from some of the best coast’s most talented and acclaimed chefs and restaurants, including:

A great lineup of chefs will be complimented by a monumental lineup of bands and musicians on both days.

Saturday’s lineup will also include: influential Canadian indie rock collective Broken Social Scene, Joey Bada$$, Santigold, Lil B, Princess Nokia, Blake Mills, Big Thief, Cherry Glazerr, Oliver Tree, Shame, Los Master Plus, Quintron & Miss Pussycat, NO BS! Brass Band, Radiolistener: Tribute to Isaiah “Ikey” Owens, Feels, Forest of Tongue, Neighbor Lady, BLCKNOISE, Haunted Summer and Manuel The Band.

Sunday’s bill promises performances by: The Black Angels, Lizzo, Parquet Courts, The Church, Sun Kil Moon, Bill Callahan, Hollie Cook, Hailu Mergia, Ezra Furman, Ladama, The Blow, De Lux, Ethio Cali, B.A.G. (Blimes x Gifted Gab), The Fling, Baum, Hana Vu, Asi Fui and NO BS! Brass Band.

Jurassic Park 25th Anniversary Celebration at Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal Studios Hollywood is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Jurassic Park in an epic way!

On Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12, Universal Studios Hollywood visitors are invited to take part in an exclusive event to honor the blockbuster action-adventure that brought dinosaurs out of extinction a quarter century ago.

The Jurassic Park 25th Anniversary Celebration will roar to life with a private screening of the original Jurassic Park at Universal CityWalk’s all-new, state-of-the-art Universal Cinema. Afterwards, guests will head inside Universal Studios Hollywood, to enjoy the rest of the event, adjacent to the theme park’s thrilling “Jurassic Park—The Ride.”

Guests will receive a special commemorative lanyard and unlimited access to all things Jurassic, from the action-packed theme park ride, to viewing original props – including the Gyrosphere as seen in the record-breaking Jurassic World – as well as original dinosaur models from the movie, costume displays and an interactive expo area. Live entertainment, themed food and merchandise will also be available to complement the event.

Live Your Nightmares at Knott’s Scary Farm

I was provided with tickets and Fright Lane passes to attend opening night at Knott’s Scary Farm. All opinions are my own and not influenced in any way.

Knott’s Scary Farm is no doubt Orange County’s favorite annual haunt event. It’s definitely something that I, as a horror fan and thrill seeker, look forward to every single year. Locals and visitors flock to the gates of Knott’s Berry Farm after dark, just so they can live their worst nightmares. I wasn’t sure what to expect for the 2017 season – would they be able to come up with something that really scared me? Spoiler alert: Yes. Yes they would.
