Pumpkin City in Laguna Hills is a South Orange County Fall Tradition!

(We were provided with unlimited ride wristbands to enjoy during our visit to Pumpkin City. No other compensation was received.)

Visiting Pumpkin City has been kind of an unspoken tradition in our family since our kids were very small. Our first visit was back in 2009, and we’ve been coming back every year since then. Stop by any evening in October and you’ll see tons of families in coordinating outfits making memories and taking photos just like we do. [Read more…]

Knott’s Berry Farm is my favorite place for Halloween fun. They really go all out for Knott’s Scary Farm, and this year the whole park goes spooky for their family-friendly weekend celebration: Knott’s Spooky Farm. This daytime event is a non-scary celebration of cheer rather than fear with shows and activities all geared for kids ages 3-11.

Trick or Treating at Knott's

The event is a little different from the family Halloween events of Knott’s past. This year, guests can trick-or-treat their way through the Ghost Town streets, and be greeted at each door by only the friendliest ghosts and ghouls.

The whole family can enjoy the winding maze of Spooky Hollow, located in Fiesta Village. Together you’ll travel through a spooky forest complete with gigantic jack-o-lanterns, creepy characters, and more. At the end, you can decorate your own pumpkin for a small fee.

Monster Masquerade Ball(Photo Courtesy of: Cynthia Duarte)

In the Monster Masquerade Ball, kids can make their own not-so-scary masks, and join in some spooky karaoke.

Other great activities include the Creepy Crawler Cabin, Snoopy’s Costume and Dance Party, and “The Monsters are Coming, Charlie Brown” in the Camp Spooky Theatre. Spooky Farm activities are included in regular park or season pass admission.
