This year marks the 38th year of the annual championship event. According to founder of Victoria Skimboards, Tex Haines, “The contest has the broadest global appeal of any other competitive skimboarding event on the pro circuit. Riders from countries around the world, including Japan, Chile, Australia, Portugal, the Philippines, Spain and Mexico will be battling for the skimboard industry title of “World’s Best.” From barrel rides to aerial tricks to technical challenges, all of the top tricks and skills will be showcased at the contest.

The VIC will take place on June 28-29, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m at Aliso Beach Park, 31131 S. Pacific Coast Hwy, Laguna Beach, CA 92652. Admission to the event is free, but there is a fee for parking.
